Runway Red: “Wonderland Kids” Fashion Show

Sunday August 14, the Fernbank Museum was transformed into a beautiful evening of fantasy for the Wonderland Kids Fashion Show. Presented by Runway RED, the annual event’s ticket sales and proceeds benefit the Show Me The Way Foundation which impacts the lives of children living or affected with HIV/AIDS. An Alice In Wonderland theme featuring latest in fall fashion by Macy’s, custom designers, and celebrity kids combined from the red carpet to the runway.

After a red-carpet arrival, young honorees and their parents checked out the exclusive VIP Lounge featuring a DJ, snacks, an OMG booth and activities. The fashion show, hosted by 11 Alive News’ lively Marc Haynes, featured live performances from young entertainers The OMG Girls, Gabby Rae, and QT Jazz. Another sponsor present in the VIP Lounge and throughout the show was African Pride Dream Kids Hair Care, which launched their Olive Miracle Hair Care Collection, a new healthy line for kids available at national retailers.

Over 600 Atlantans came out on the eve of a new school year to support efforts of the Show Me The Way Foundation. Truly a special evening for a great cause, everyone can continue to support the featured organizations in the fight against HIV/AIDS in our community. Thank you to the Garner Circle, and look forward to next year’s fashionable fundraiser.
